The Final Slow Dance I love shows. what can i say music is my life. here my kiddies i will keep my concert diary. while it won't be updated alot you will have lots of info on my veiw and happenings at shows and concerts in the south florida area. have fun! Songs Remain
Here's my small venture to Pompano to have a band never show up for their show.
concert..........it was the concert yesterday. we got to the club about five minutes before the first band set up. anyways the sign at the door said......sorry but MEST has canceled due to illness. that's right kiddies mest was sick so it was just bigwig, h2o, and avoid one thing. it was much fun but most kids left as soon as they would hear thatg mest wasn't there. oh well they missed a gnarly show. so avoid one thing came on but the place was really mellow. most of the people there had never heard of them or didn't like them. i thought they were awesome.......yeah. so bigwig came on and that's when all the happi pits started. yup yup.......i got my face hit so hard it hurts my jaw when i close my mouth and chew, my lip busted, pain on my side, and bruises all over me. it was pretty shibby. Carl was asking me today what i found in pits to be fun if i got hurt so bad. i couldn't answer it......i guess it's just cuz...i dunno........well not that many girls are in the pit so yeah you fell all big and yeah. big wig put on a good set and there was fire and making fun of canadians. i was attacked by scary shirtless men(well they slammed into me cuz i was part taking in the cirle pit fun) during h2o. i likeed they're set for the pure fact they played new stuff and old unlike most concerts these day where the band only plays they're new stuff. after we started to walk around the club and the lead singer dude from Avoid One Thing was looking at straight edge steve and was asking what the hell that was(sXe steve is a dollar store doll covered in safety pin peircings). so yeah we talked for abit and they gave me water(free water is always good when water cost like 3.25$ at shows). So yeah we walked around and i got pics of the Avoid kids and of Rusty & Toby from h2o with steve. it was great. even with or without mest the show was rad. oh i got avoid shirt, an h2o shirt and a bigwig beanie. beanies are always good. next show up should eiter be Dashboard Confessional or Further Seems Forever and Hot Rod Circuit
Bouncing off the Walls Here's the fun of my Good Charlotte, Mest, and Sugar Cult Adventure in the Culture Room. hey hey! i'm back! the show rocked my socks to the max! lefty ended up being there too ::big happi face::. we got there around 6:30 and were in line til 8. it was ok cuz the dudes behind us were pretty rad emo kids......even tho they keep doing this flash thing with their camera. but they didn't blind us......well once but after that they joined me and Megan in the taunting and making fun of the teenies in front of us. after awhile we saw Tim from sugar cult and started to talk to him. very cool dude. the lil chickies in front of us tho we all grossed out and were saying crap like we're only here to see good charlotte not the rest of the crap. not nice. so yeah we talked to Tim. Tina's mom hung out with the rest of sugar cult til we got inside. so it ends up that Jim(Sam's brother) showed up and went to the show with us. we got in and wondered around a bit looking for a good standing spot. we watched the end of the Lefty set(we caught the last 3 songs) and then me and Tina decided to go buy crap. We went to the Lefty stand and talked to the dude there(Vanilla Ice as i called him for his love of the guy). and there we met the Pundik's(mama and papa were there). We talked about them(NFG) and how they rock and how they inspired me to start playing my crappy music. fun fun. but yeah i left after about 2 minutes and went to the mest and sugar cult table. Yeah Matt was selling the merch for mest. i tried to talk him into giving me a hoodie for 20$ but no. so i got a Sugar Cult shirt. After much debating i got the hoodie too. so we went back and i stood with Megan and Jim. sugar cult came on. they were awesome. half way thru their set they wished Tina a happy b-day(thanks to her mom). i got some pictures of them(about 10 counting the one of me, Sam, and Tina with Tim). afterwards we found out that we were in the way of the hall thingie that leads to the bathroom. so Sam and Megan went upstairs while i went into the crowd. Mest came on and the place went wild(they seriously had the best set of the night. i so cant wait to see them again......them and sugar cult). there was much a moshing(fun fun! lol) and jumping and bouncing and all that good stuff. I got dizzy tho and almost fell but since i was surrounded by so many kids i couldn't(thank god). so it took a bit but i found Tina and Sam. gc took like 40 minutes to set up. so we started to talk to some guy and his girlfriend after i let the guy borrow my lighter(ok yeah carrying around a lighter makes everyone think i smoke....just like Paige thought). then sam started to sing don't wanna stop and soon enuff the whole club was singing. very cool. then like 15 minutes later gc finally came out. it was all good til Joel jumped into the crowd. i almost got knocked off the platform thing we were on. but still i was like 5 feet away from the stage. i fell down too before that, luckily the friends and the guy helped me stay up. after a bit a circle pit starts. i was with Jim then and handed him my purse and jumped in when it really picked up. it was so much fucking fun. even tho i done it a million times with my glasses on this time they fell off and got broke. not good but my mommy doesn't really care she just got pissed at the point that i got myself hurt(Amber's got a nice bruise on her forehead). so yeah i could no longer see for the rest of the concert. then i got into the circle pit during "little things". i got lost from everyone on the way out but it was ok cuz i ran into Marko and Ben(sugar cult). I accidentally ran into Ben and he was all like don't touch me. i just looked at him and said to think i was gunna tell you, you guys did a gnarly job but to late you went all rock star on me. he looked at me and goes no, don't touch me, then starts to laugh and goes i'm sorry i only kid and hugs me. Marko asked him what was so funny and he told him so the kids around him start poking him and we all start to crack up. so yeah he signed my shirt. and then Marko and Tim did too. Marko stole my stars(i had a bracelet with stars and silver beads that i made). not fair. so yeah after getting lost i FINALLY found Tina, Sam, Megan, and Jim. they were all sitting outside the door of the gc bus. the guys came out and i got them to sign my cd. Joel, i guess, was having a bad day cuz he was very disgruntle and benji was cool and did something for me to give to Carl but still he was more interested in los groupies. lol Paul stole my green beads and Billy wanted to trade bracelets but i didn't have black ones. oh well. Some how me and Dusty started to talk about drums and drummers. he seems really humble cuz i was telling him that he was a good drummer and one of my favorites.....after Travis of course. he got really stoked too when he saw my bracelet i made that day(it had all the names of the guys and he was included). so i had to go and he was all like no. but yeah he shook my hand and crap and hugged me and told me i gotta come to the next show they do down here. i thought that was all funny. pretty gnarly but funny. so we dropped Jim off at home and headed to Denny's for breakfast. the show was over at 12 and we left around 12:40 and got to the Denny's in Florida city around 2 something. we got pulled over on the 18 mile stretch for going 85 in a 45mph zone. not good. we made it home around 3:30 and i didn't fall asleep til 4. i got 2 & 1/2 hours of sleep then went to school. Carl was stoked when i gave him his little gift today. lol all in all after getting hurt, almost falling a bunch of times, getting stopped by the man and have almost no sleep that night was one of the best nights ive had. this show was way better then the blink , midtown, and nfg. i got my lil promo sugar cult poster up on my room and my a many free stickers(mest, sugar cult, & level 27*Billys clothing line*)all over my notebooks. *** The Rock Show Here read about my luvly concert experiance at a recent blink 182 concert in the city of west palm beach. have fun! rite now i'm loungein around in my jeans and midtown concert tee(it's like the one joel had on when him and benji were on sink or swim.....it's the dark blue one and it has midtown in white letters with a red borader and a lite blue line that curves down and two little red lines under the blue one before it curves and a gothic font type mand a white thing around the bottom of the curve that says rocker in the same color as the tee). the concert was kick...even if i did have crappy seats and got all wet(haha not even a tropical storm could stop blink from playing! unlike anoher band which will stay nameless*coughcoughnsynccoughcouh*. lol) i even got to talk to the mom of one of the nfg guys during midtown. lol i just wonder why she was there to later on leave? i did seelike about half of their set. so really all i saw was blink and nfg cuz of mom there and i was late and didn't see mest. but before all that i bought the midtown tee and a baby blue nfg one(it's got a heartwith wings on it and new found glory written around it and on the back it has the words some girls are crazy....). all i can remember is getting wet, my shoe getting stuck in the chair and the set lists(but not in order). well almost all of them....i don't remember nfg doing never sometimes. but they played witer of 95 which makes up for not doing 2s and 3s. mark came to play with them during sincerly me. ohand can't forget ian's "strip show". lol nicley done. gotta luv a half naked ian and 20,000 kids yelling 'take it off!'. i hope i can find a way to see them when they play orbit in november. then there was a 30 minute pause were i went to stock up on free condoms. they weren't for me, no they were for were for west palm. she didn't want to go get them. ok so blink opened with the rock show and the infamous fuck in flames. they had satan come and read us a poem and dogged on florida's little voting issue and what the crowd looked like. yes according to tom the crowd was shaped like a big, vainy, wet, penis. those guys are as funny live as people say. they played only two non pants and jacket or enema song. it made me a bit sad but hey. the best part of their show was travis's drum solo in reckless abandonment. it was very kewl. poor larry. he must feel so un luved. at the end mark came out dressed as superman and they did give me one good reason and dammit.
in the end this concert is a must go if you like any of the bands there! |
